Course summary
Study the socially and economically important industry of sport, and learn how to apply contemporary approaches to real-world challenges.
Course overview
This course is delivered by a team of academic, technical and administrative staff who are committed to helping you thrive and succeed in this competitive and exciting industry. You will be taught by academics with sport industry knowledge, and we aim to provide guest lecturers from a variety of relevant organisations.

Teaching methods
Much of the teaching on this course is classroom based, supported by field trips and visits to relevant organisations. Guest speakers are invited regularly, and can add value to content provided by academic staff. You will undertake independent learning and take responsibility for your own outcomes from the course.
Assessment
You will undertake a wide variety of assessments, both written and practical, to practice your skills in information analysis and presentation.
Job prospects
Graduates will typically pursue a career in sports management through public or private sports organisations or through UK regulatory bodies in sport. This may include a variety of job roles, including: sports development, sports marketing, sports operations, sports manufacturing, sport product and brand management, sponsorship strategy and communications, volunteer management, or sports event management.
