Course summary
This course equips you with advanced knowledge and practical skills for diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries from sport and physical activity. You'll study musculoskeletal injuries, therapeutic techniques, and exercise rehabilitation skills, underpinned by a foundation in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and psychology. Through clinical placements, supervised by registered healthcare or medical professionals, you'll gain hands-on experience in providing effective care for injuries, illness, and disease, either independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Accredited by the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT), this programme prepares you for BASRaT membership, offering valuable industry insights. Additionally, we offer exchange programmes, including two semester-long options in the USA, where you can undertake a similar study programme and a professional baseball internship. Please note that these exchanges are subject to availability and may not be available to all students.
