This two-year part-time course is equivalent to the first two years of a relevant honours degree programme and has a strong emphasis on equipping students with the necessary employment skills required by a contemporary and competitive sport and leisure industry.

This innovative course is underpinned by the core themes of sports coaching, sports development, Physical Education, entrepreneurship and exercise and health.

An academic course with a practical element, the course covers modules such as project management, the sport landscape, physical activity, lifestyle and health, research project, entrepreneurship in sport, teaching practice, work experience, technology and sport, performance analysis and advanced coaching.

This programme has a strong emphasis on enriching student experience within employability within the sport and leisure sector, with a range of guest speakers, site visits and a two-week work placement. This programme of study is likely to include additional enrichment activities/module(s) which are included to enhance your employability.

UCAS Points : 64

Requirements are pre-defined by the College’s admissions criteria. It is expected that applicants would have a minimum of 64 UCAS points to gain a place on the course. Applicants with a lower profile will be put onto a waiting list and may be offered a place depending on places becoming available. Students will be required to undertake an Access Northern Ireland check in year 2 in order to complete work placement, teaching practice and advanced coaching modules.
