Course summary

Kick-off a career in a range of sporting environments by learning to maximise training and performance.We’ve recently invested £16 million in our sports infrastructure, so you’ll have access to state-of-the art facilities on campus, while our course also focuses on giving you the hands-on, practical experience needed to coach people of all ages and abilities – from grassroots to elite sports. We have strong links with local authority development units and other organisations offering work experience opportunities, coaching education courses and workshops to further enhance your studies.The foundation year equips you with essential scientific knowledge and study skills you need. Upon successful completion, you can transfer seamlessly into our degree programme where you’ll further develop your knowledge and skills in sports science, psychology and more.
