Course summary

Sport has become a growing global industry, where the performance of the business behind the scenes is just as important as the performance on the pitch, court or course. Today, theres huge investment in venues for sport at every level. Not just physical arenas, but vehicles for maximising revenue from sporting events, fan engagement, marketing and sponsorship sales. Health and fitness initiatives are launched regularly, with public and private sector backing. The sports branding and clothing industry continues to generate millions of pounds every year. It all adds up to a world full of opportunity for a rewarding future in the sports industry.

Our BSc (Hons) Sports Marketing Management course explores what makes sports marketing so special. Youll develop key skills in areas like brand management, digital marketing and commercial sponsorship.

The course prepares you for real life in the industry by developing practical expertise, knowledge and experience that great careers are built on. Youll complete practical projects like developing a sponsorship proposal, creating a digital marketing campaign or putting together a business plan for a new sports enterprise.

To add even more to your CV, you can spend one year on placement with an employer or go abroad to study at one of our partner universities.
