Study the past, present and future of urban and built environments using cutting-edge theories and practices in politics, economics, design, sociology, environmental studies and geography.Use cutting edge interdisciplinary theory and practice in order to develop a deep critical awareness of how cities work on our BA Urban Studies. You'll learn how the fortunes of city dwellers around the world can depend on the actions of investors, politicians and community activists.This course gives you the freedom to specialise through a wide range of optional modules and equips you with key analytical skills in preparation for the workplace.You also have the flexibility to transfer to the MPlan Urban Studies and Planning, subject to certain criteria, and study abroad at one of our partner institutions in the USA, Denmark, France or Italy.Our Placements, Employability and External Relations team maintains close links with external organisations to ensure that you have access to the world of work.
