This programme will provide you with research, theories and techniques for design of technology mediated devices, systems and service, including the use of AI and other computational techniques. It will emphasise techniques for exploring and validating the ways users experience technology in their lives, and will seek to ensure that the fit between people and the technology that they must or choose to use is optimised.This will include a thorough understanding of human capabilities, technology and the business and marketing constraints when creating and deploying novel technologies.It will explore topics and issues such as data ownership and IP, living with algorithm-based decisions, privacy, security, trust and corporate vs societal responsibility.
