Course summary
The University of Glasgow is home to the Scottish Centre for War Studies. You will be able to participate in regular research seminars on critical themes related to conflict as well as to related conferences.

Each research student will work under the supervision of two members of staff familiar with the student's field of inquiry. Prospective students are encouraged to discuss their research ideas with members of staff who are specialists in their fields of interest before applying. The staff page indicates the research interests and email addresses of scholars in the Scottish Centre for War Studies.
Thesis length: 30,000-40,000 words (including references and bibliography).
A Master of Philosophy (Research) requires you to undertake a postgraduate course of special study and research that represents a distinct contribution to knowledge.
