Live, study and research surrounded by British endangered and protected species such as golden eagles, ospreys, red squirrel, Natterjack toad and red deer. Plus, a range of ecosystems and habitats that no other university can offer. Our course - designed by professional zoologists in consultation with wildlife trusts, consultants and Government bodies will boost your hands-on skills and teach you everything you need to become a professional in the field.This course offers a four-year 'sandwich-route mode' of study, which will allow you the opportunity to undertake a one-year placement between your second and third year. So, you can explore and research around our unique location to your heartÂ's content.Even the Carlisle campus gives you inspiration with the River Eden and its tributaries less than 500m away with breeding otters, kingfishers, osprey, salmon and lampreys. The site is so rich it is recognised as a Special Protected Area in European legislation and a SSSI in the UK.If you aspire to be a zoologist, this course will enable you to do just that.
