Dumfries and Galloway College

Dumfries and Galloway College was established in 1973 and operates from two campuses in Dumfries and Stranraer in south west Scotland. The Dumfries campus is shared with the University of the West of Scotland. The college also works in partnership with the Open University.

Students' Union

  • The Students' Association has strong links with both the University of the West of Scotland and University of Glasgow's student unions.
  • It is the representative organisation for students and the college and run by students for students.

History

  • Dumfries and Galloway College was established in 1973 and operates from two campuses in Dumfries and Stranraer in south west Scotland.
  • In 2009 the college launched a partnership with the Open University. Open University staff and students have access to all the facilities of the college, and the college's range of higher education qualifications are links to the OU's modules and qualifications.
