EY FastTrack Programmes

Career Guides

The EY FastTracks Programmes will help you gain valuable experience, by showing you how our business functions and how we help our clients. And it doesn’t matter what you’re studying or plan to study; people with many different strengths flourish here.

EY School Leaver Programme

A five-year training programme with Ernst & Young. You’ll study to become a Chartered Accountant, sitting the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) exams.

You’ll join after A-Levels, and work at Ernst & Young from day one. At the end of the programme you’ll be professionally qualified with considerable experience of accountancy in the real world.

It sets you up for a great career here.

EY Degree

Study for an accountancy degree that we’ve developed with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and the University of Lancaster Management School (LUMS).

It combines business experience and formal education. You’ll spend four years studying at LUMS, including 18 months of paid work experience at Ernst & Young, split into three chunks. During these placements you’ll play a key role in an audit team, working directly with clients.

At the end of the course you’ll have a BSc (Hons) in Accounting, Auditing and Finance. You’ll receive a first year bursary and – if you do well – maybe a job offer. You’ll also be exempt from most ICAS Test of Competence exams, allowing you to qualify as a Chartered Accountant sooner.

EY Scholarship

If you’re serious about working for an international firm and want real business experience, go for the EY Scholarship.

Running over your three years at university, the Scholarship is paid work experience in three chunks. You’ll get several weeks before you start university, a ten-week internship during your first summer holiday and another during your second year.

The placements are a chance to learn and develop personally, and to put some context around your studies.

You’ll work with real clients on real projects. You’ll be paid £1,000 for each of your three years at university, and there’s an excellent chance we’ll offer you a graduate job as you start your final year.

EY Insight Day

This one-day experience will show you life at a leading global business. You can find out what people do day-to-day and see what opportunities joining a firm like Ernst & Young can open up. You’ll help solve client briefs and develop business skills.
