Programme Features

  • Develop a creative approach to business that leads to true innovation, and become an outstanding business leader. The course equips students with the leadership expertise and analytical skills to excel in management and consultancy roles in areas including accounting and finance, human resources, marketing and operations, and programme management. It's also suitable for those who wish to run their own business.
  • Through design thinking and practical exercises that build on theory, students enhance their management and leadership capabilities and develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Students benefit from the expertise of committed and research-active teaching staff with excellent academic and business experience.
  • Visiting guest speakers from a range of specialisms and links to the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) will enhance students' knowledge. Students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, with diverse entrepreneurial experience; this contributes to a dynamic learning experience that includes business simulations, problem-solving and blended learning.
  • Approaching business problems creatively, students develop a skill set for tackling complex issues based on a deep understanding of client needs, collaborative working, cross-disciplinary thinking, personal reflection and rapid prototyping of new ideas. At the master's stage, students complete a dissertation.
  • Students can access business workshops and industry connections via the business school's partnership with the Growth Hub.

MBA – Business Administration (Masters Stage Award)

Programme Features

  • The MBA (Masters Stage Award) course allows students to top up their existing qualification to a full MBA degree through a dissertation or project.
  • The course is aimed at both experienced managers, and recent graduates, and offers a flexible study route to refresh and enhance student's management skills and knowledge.
  • Completed in two stages: after initial research methods training, students complete their studies via distance learning, choosing between either a traditional dissertation or a project.
  • Students will investigate new and changing areas of leadership and management theory and practice, and be able to confidently apply the knowledge to practical organisational situations.

Course Duration

  • Six months full-time or 12 months part-time.
