Programme Features

  • This intensive MBA covers managerial concepts and the study of company functions, leading on to business environment and strategy. Core modules include accounting, business economics, design thinking and innovative problem solving, corporate finance, marketing, organisational behaviour, decision analytics and more. Students also choose six electives from pathways in finance, innovation and entrepreneurship, strategy and management, and analytics and digital marketing.
  • The Personal Leadership Journey module helps students prepare for a career in a leadership role, working with the Career and Professional Development service to address professional development areas and formulate a post-MBA career strategy.
  • Live projects include either an Entrepreneurial Journey to explore the key challenges of introducing products and services to market, or a Group Consulting Project conducted for an external organisation.
  • The Imperial Innovation Challenge integrates the Business School with other Imperial faculties, applying business thinking to global grand challenges in health, energy, environments, and data security. Working in groups, students dive into the given problem at the start of day one and present their solution by day five. A week of workshops and eye-opening talks with industry experts helps inform their pursuit for an innovative solution.
  • Global Experience Week is an integrated week-long international study tour, where students immerse themselves in the business environment of a specific country. Recent destinations have included Vietnam, India, China, Brazil, and Argentina.

Part-time Executive MBA

Programme Features

  • The Part-time Executive MBA programme is designed for experienced senior executives, enabling them to study while working.
  • Core modules cover accounting and corporate reporting analysis, corporate finance, corporate innovation and entrepreneurship, managerial economics, marketing management, organisational behaviour, responsible leadership and corporate success, and strategy. Students also have a choice of six electives from over 20 options.
  • The Executive Leadership Journey runs throughout the programme, introducing students to different tools, conferences, and experiential learning situations, including the Impact Lab™ approach – with the aim of students getting to know themselves better, gaining in confidence and ultimately changing behaviour to make the step from manager to leader.
  • A final individual project provides a valuable opportunity for students to put their MBA learning into practice. The project can be sponsored by companies, so students may opt to complete their project with their employer or approach potential employers of particular interest to them.
  • International residencies and corporate visits: two international residency weeks and one international study tour will take students to three of the most important economies in the world: USA, China and Germany. At each location students take classes at a top global business school and visit leading local companies and institutions, providing opportunities for in-depth interactions.

  • On the Part-time Weekend MBA, core modules cover corporate finance, decision analytics, finance and management accounting, global macroeconomics, innovation and entrepreneurship, managerial economics, marketing management, organisational behaviour, and strategy. Students also have a choice of six electives from over 20 options.

  • The Entrepreneurial Journey enables students to explore the key challenges of bringing new products and services to market in an optional group-based project.

Part-time Global Online MBA

Programme Features

  • The Global Online MBA programme offers a uniquely flexible, part-time format which enables students to study around their professional and personal commitments, from anywhere in the world. On-demand programme materials and electives allow students to tailor the programme to their schedule and professional needs.
  • Core modules cover marketing management, managerial economics, financial and management accounting, organisational behaviour, corporate finance, strategy, corporate innovation, entrepreneurship. Students also choose five electives from a choice of 14 – this includes the Final Project module, which is a double-weighted elective. Global Online MBA students can also attend up to two electives from the university's on-campus portfolio, provided they are not offered online.
  • The Capstone Business Game puts students in a unique business game simulation. Alongside a series of lectures on innovation, design and entrepreneurship, students will analyse the innovative needs of a large multinational and develop a business case for the company to grow.
  • The Final Project module allows students to put their MBA learning into practice and develop specialised expertise. Students research a real business issue and influence real commercial outcomes, if their recommendations are implemented by a supporting organisation. The project can be sponsored by companies, so students may opt to complete their project with their employer or approach potential employers of particular interest to them.
  • Global Experience Week: this optional extra is an integrated week-long international study tour where students immerse themselves in the business environment of a specific country. Recent destinations have included India, China, Brazil and Argentina.
