History

  • Opened in 1975, the College of The Bahamas is the country’s only nationally funded institute of higher education.
  • Since 1995 it has been offering Bachelor Degree programmes.
  • In 2012 it graduated its first post-graduate students.
  • It currently has about 5,000 students enrolled.

  • Ten Members of Parliament (total Parliamentarians 38) are alumni of the College.
