Full-Time MBA

Programme features

  • A UBC MBA focuses on five key principles which ensure students leave able to make a maximum impact on the business world. These principles are: Creativity; Decision-Making; Global Issues and Macro-Economics; Ethics, Sustainability and Value Creation; and Leadership Development.
  • During the 16 month programme students take several cross-functional, integrative business courses. Students go on to focus their skills and interests by choosing from one of four career tracks to specialise in, these include: Consulting and Strategic Management; Finance; Product and Service Management; and Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Part-Time MBA

Programme features

  • The part-time MBA at UBC is a flexible programme, giving students an internationally recognised qualification without requiring them to give up their day job.
  • The programme promises to make a profound impact on a student’s career with a curriculum that integrates core business disciplines with practical experience and leadership development.
  • Classes are held Friday—Thursday approximately every two weeks. Students must also participate in a two week international project, designed to develop a global perspective of business.

International MBA

Accreditations: AACSB and EQUIS

Programme features

  • This part-time MBA is offered as a partnership between Sauder and Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It is designed so that students can gain an MBA from UBC but keep their life and career in China.
  • The programme begins with a core of courses, which give students a solid foundation in advanced business and management techniques. The curriculum moves on to contain more of a global focus, giving students the confidence to work in the international marketplace.
  • The programme structure combines short residentials with weekend classes. Students attend three residencies in Vancouver, all other classes are at the Antai College of Economics and Management.

EMBA in Health Care

Accreditations: AACSB and EQUIS

Programme features

  • This part-time programme offers the broad leadership and management foundations of an MBA, applied in the context of the global health care industry. It has been designed exclusively for health care executives.
  • Students receive a practical and applied foundation in the business fundamentals with a seven week intensive course. Students move on to take specialised health care courses in topics such as Marketing, Finance, Managing Patient Flow and many more.
  • Classes are held Thursday through till Monday.
