Full-Time MBA

Programme features

  • The Full-Time MBA programme educates students on the current world of business and prepares them for future business developments.
  • During the 1st year, the curriculum covers the key areas of accounting, finance, marketing, and supply chain management. 
  • There are courses in place such as Leadership Assessment and Development and Organisational Behaviour to help develop students’ weaker areas.
  • In addition to this, top area executives visit students and work with them on business problems that they are currently facing. This gives students the opportunity to practice new skills learnt in the Management Perspectives and Dialogues course.
  • In the 2nd year, students work on design practices and sustainable value. They also have the opportunity to specialise through their chosen electives. This sets students up for future employment.
  • The small class sizes allow one-to-one interaction with members of the faculty. Classes also enhance teamwork through group learning.

Part-Time MBA

Programme features

  • The Part-Time MBA programme is designed for professionals who wish to study an MBA whilst remaining in full-time employment.
  • The programme benefits students’ organisations by enabling students to apply the knowledge learnt in class directly to their work.  
  • Students begin by taking part in a Leaderships Assessment and Development course during which students are divided up into groups of various learning styles for the duration of the programme.
  • The curriculum develops general management skills and follows a personalised learning plan to work on individual areas that students need to improve on.
  • There is the opportunity to specialise through elective courses.
  • Classes take place on one evening per week and one Saturday per month.

Executive MBA

Programme features

  • The Executive MBA programme is designed for those moving up to senior leadership positions with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Skills learnt on the programme can be used to develop existing companies or build new organisations.
  • The curriculum teaches critical disciplines, such as strategy, finance, marketing, and accounting, from a leadership perspective.
  • Students and faculty members share their expertise in the classroom through group learning.
  • The programme develops leadership skills at the level of self, team, organisation and society.
  • Students study socio-political structures that require leadership, including government, the world economy and the constantly changing field of technology.
  • The curriculum also covers the language of business and how it is used in the boardroom.  
  • Classes are taught over 4 3-day periods per semester. Students should be prepared to commit approximately 20 hours per week of independent study.
  • Self-selected learning teams also meet weekly outside class, either in person or remotely.

  • The full-time Global MBA is delivered through a partnership between Tongji University’s School of Economics and Management in Shanghai; Xavier School of Management in Jamshedpur, India; and Weatherhead.
  • The programme is aimed at students seeking top management roles as it engages directly with areas of significant economic growth across the world.
  • Students have the opportunity to work in all three countries to gain exposure to varied cultural, economic and political environments.
  • The curriculum is divided into 5 areas: Language of Management, Management Analytics, Strategic Thinking, Managing Teams and Leadership, and Global Environment.
