Full-Time MBA

Programme features

  • The Full-Time MBA programme seeks to develop successful business leaders with a global perspective, innovative spirit and collaborative approach.
  • USC Marshall was the first business school to introduce a requirement for international travel and study projects on their Full-Time MBA programme. At the end of the first year, students embark on an intensive course that includes a 10-day field trip to institutions in a Pacific Rim, Latin American or European city. This gives students a valuable insight into global issues. Business strategies and skills learnt on the course are applied during an on-site student presentation.
  • An important focus of the programme is teamwork. The programme structure is designed to improve students’ ability to work effectively in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams. This is achieved through group project work.
  • The curriculum gives students the opportunity to personalise their studies to suit their individual career goals.

Part-Time MBA.PM

Programme features

  • The Part-Time MBA Programme for Professionals and Managers (MBA.PM) is designed for students in full-time employment who wish to study towards an MBA degree part-time.
  • The core curriculum provides students with a solid foundation in the major business disciplines.
  • The curriculum enhances skills such as communication and teamwork.
  • Students also take PM.Globe which is a macroeconomics course over one semester that includes a week-long oversees trip.
  • Elective courses within the programme allow students to focus on their own career objectives.
  • Students can choose between studying at the university’s Orange County Centre in Irvine or at the University Park Campus in Los Angeles.
  • The core classes are taught between 6.00pm and 9.40pm twice a week. The classes at the Orange County Centre take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, whilst the Los Angeles classes are on Monday and Wednesday.
  • Additionally, there is the option to study the core classes on Saturday at the University Park Campus in Los Angeles. These classes run from approximately 9.00am to 5.30pm.

Executive MBA

  • The Executive MBA (EMBA) programme is designed for senior managers and seasoned professionals in full-time employment.
  • The curriculum focuses on managerial situations that students will have encountered during their professional careers.
  • The programme structure is flexible in order to address current business issues. This method improves students’ ability to apply learnt knowledge to their line of work.

Global Executive MBA - Shanghai

Programme features

  • The Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) programme in Shanghai offers a unique curriculum to its students.
  • It is aimed at rising executives from the Asia Pacific region, as well as business leaders from around the world.
  • The programme is structured around 10 themes that correspond to current real-world business situations. This gives students an insight into the opportunities and challenges they may face in their career.
  • The majority of classes are taught at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in downtown Shanghai. Two sessions, one at the beginning and one at the end of the programme, are taught in Los Angeles at the USC campus.
  • The programme involves visits to other Asian economies. Previous trips have been to India, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

  • The International Business Education and Research MBA (IBEAR MBA) is an accelerated, full-time, international MBA programme for mid career professionals who are preparing to take on senior global positions.
  • The curriculum develops a strong foundation for management and business strategy.
  • Within the programme, the International Business Consulting Project (IBCP) teaches students fact-based business critical thinking and problem solving skills within a global marketplace.
  • The programme is taught at USC’s Los Angeles campus.
