Top Tips for Clearing

  1. Be prepared for Clearing and do some research into your preferred subjects of study and where you want to live. Universities will provide information online on courses available prior to Results Day, so this gives you a great opportunity to obtain all the information you need.

  2. On the day, make sure you have all the relevant information in front of you for when you start calling universities, it’s also a great idea to make notes whilst on the phone, especially if you’re planning on calling a number of institutions.

  3. Whilst you may be worried, don’t panic, stay calm. Missing your grades is not the end of the world – in fact, many UON students who go through the clearing process say they are very happy about how things worked out.

The university has several different accommodation options of varying price and in different locations.
There is an on-campus student village, the St John’s Halls of Residence located in the heart of Northampton, and the Boughton Green Road Halls or Bassett Lowke Halls.

In addition, many students live off-campus in approved private rented accommodation. The university works with local landlords to ensure that these are safe and easily accessible.
