Open days at University of Nottingham

Nottingham is both a Russell Group and Universitas 21 university, a global network of 29 world-leading research-intensive universities from 19 countries and territories. Its five faculties of Arts, Engineering, Medicine and Health Sciences, Science, and Social Sciences offer a wide variety of degree programmes.

Nottingham uni students can boost their career prospects with a year in industry, a work placement or an internship during their degree course. The university also offers opportunities to spend part of a degree course abroad at Nottingham's international campuses in China or Malaysia or at partner universities around the world. 

Facilities  

Libraries are open throughout the year, with extended opening hours or 24/7 opening in peak study and revision periods. Nottingham's Lakeside Arts at University Park Campus hosts exhibitions and performances year-round.

You can book an open day via the links below or register your interest and the university will let you know when bookings open nearer the time. Attending an open day will help you decide whether it's the right place for you to study. You'll usually be able to attend talks, take a tour, see typical campus accommodation and talk to current students and lecturers about what life is really like so have some questions handy.  

Where is it located? 

The University of Nottingham has four campuses in Nottinghamshire and two overseas campuses, one in Ningbo, China and the other in Semenyih, Malaysia.  

University Park is the main university hub and about two miles from the city centre. Jubilee Campus is home to the School of Education, Computer Science, and the Business School. Sutton Bonington is a countryside campus and is where the Vet School and School of Bioscience as based. Lastly King's Meadow is home to Manuscripts and Special Collection.  

There is a free hopper bus that connects the different campuses along with the city's tram system.  

Nottingham has a rich history, famous for the medieval legends of Robin Hood. The city also has a thriving music scene, unbeatable nightlife, beautiful green spaces and with more than 60,000 is a wonderful place for students. It's also very affordable and centrally located with easy access to other cities across the UK.

The University of Nottingham is a strong contender in the overall rankings of our university league tables. Graduate prospects, continuation of study and research quality and intensity are areas it scores particularly highly in.
