Open days at Bristol, University of the West of England

The University of the West of England or UWE, as it is often referred to, is a well-regarded institution. It offers a wide range of courses across its faculties of Arts, Business and Law, Creative Industries and Education, Environment and Technology, Engineering and Physical Sciences and Health and Applied Sciences.

UWE is known for its excellent employment rates with over 90% of graduates in employment or further study within 15 months of graduating. The University of the West of England has invested £300 million over the last five years to provide modern facilities to help students to fulfill their potential.

Facilities

Modern, industry-standard facilities at UWE Bristol include mock courtrooms, a replica hospital ward, multimedia broadcast studios, a forensic crime scene house, a wind tunnel, a flight simulator, a financial trading room, and much more.

Students can take advantage of the wide variety of sporting facilities on Frenchay Campus. Ranging from climbing walls to squash courts, football pitches to a well-equipped fitness studio, plus classes throughout the week.

Where is it located?

UWE has several campuses in Bristol, its main one is in Frenchay which is four miles north of the centre and a 15-minute bus ride from the city. It includes the Students Union, 24/7 library, sports facilities, shops and many cafes, bars and restaurants.

The other campuses include Bower Ashton, Glenside, and City Campus at Arnolfini, all just a short bus ride from one another and each offering something unique.

Bristol is a vibrant, friendly city with a large student community. The city is known for its lively music and art scenes. There are many exciting places to eat and drink and over 450 parks and open spaces, earning its reputation as a green city.
