Open days at Leeds Trinity University

Leeds Trinity is a small university renowned for producing highly employable graduates, thanks to the professional work placements included in all its standard undergraduate degrees.

The university offers a wide range of over 130 courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. It was recently awarded a silver rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework, a national scheme run by the Office of Students.

Facilities

The Andrew Kean Learning Centre houses the library and IT services, as well as group and individual study areas. The university is also home to a Centre for Journalism which provides equipment, facilities, and expertise for broadcast news skills.

The Media Centre is equipped with the latest media technology from production spaces to equipment hire and there's also a range of sports facilities, including a gym and swimming pool.

Why go to an open day?

When you attend an open day, you'll get a gut feeling about the university. Open days will help give you clarity if you're not sure what course to choose. You'll be able to visit different departments and chat with lecturers and other department staff, there are often subject talks too. You'll also get to speak to current students. They can tell you whether they're satisfied with the teaching, what the local nightlife is like, what the best halls of residence are – pretty much anything. Don't forget to look at the accommodation for yourself and make time to walk around the surrounding area to see if you like it.

Where is it located?

The main campus is situated six miles northwest of Leeds city centre in Horsforth. You can get to Horsforth by train and is then a 20-minute walk or you can jump on the free university shuttle bus.

The new Leeds City Campus is due to open in 2024 and is, as the name suggests, in the city centre and is a 5-minute walk from the main train station.

A multicultural identity, a thriving arts scene and a rich array of music, food and sport are what you can expect living in Leeds. It has developed a prominent student culture over the years. This, alongside its affordable reputation, is why over 70,000 students call Leeds home.
