Why go to an open day?

When you attend an open day, you'll get a gut feeling about the university. Open days will help give you clarity if you're not sure what course to choose. You'll be able to visit different departments and chat with lecturers and other department staff, there are often subject talks too. You'll also get to speak to current students. They can tell you whether they're satisfied with the teaching, what the local nightlife is like, what the best halls of residence are – pretty much anything. Don't forget to look at the accommodation for yourself and make time to walk around the surrounding area to see if you like it.

Where is it located?

Leeds Beckett is made up of two campuses. The city campus is in the centre of Leeds and about a 15-minute walk from the main bus and train station.

The Headingley Campus is a green space just outside of the city and is easily reached by public transport with regular direct buses into the city. It's a 10- or 20-minute walk from local train stations depending on whether you use Burnley Park or Headingley station. It has its own small local community with bars, shops and restaurants.

A multicultural identity, a thriving arts scene and a rich array of music, food and sport are what you can expect living in Leeds. It has developed a prominent student culture over the years. This, alongside its affordable reputation, is why over 70,000 students call Leeds home.
