Open days at Liverpool Hope University

Liverpool Hope University has a rich history spanning more than 175 years. It prides itself on its modern, student-focused approach where smaller class sizes mean you're not just another face in the crowd.

High-quality, research-informed teaching takes place in well-equipped facilities and Hope's commitment to graduate employability ensures students are well prepared for the world of work.

Facilities

The Hope Park campus has a gym, a strength and conditioning suite, a Physiotherapy and Sport Rehabilitation Clinic, a sports hall, and outside spaces for hockey, football, rugby, and tennis.

The Creative Campus has two libraries, Reading Room and a Student Success Zone that is open 24 hours a day during term time. The university has invested £60 million in the past decade on several notable facilities, including the Sheppard Worlock Library and Creative Campus Library and a £14 million Health Sciences and Sports complex.

Why go to an open day?

When you attend an open day, you'll get a gut feeling about the university. Open days will help give you clarity if you're not sure what course to choose. You'll be able to visit different departments and chat with lecturers and other department staff, there are often subject talks too. You'll also get to speak to current students. They can tell you whether they're satisfied with the teaching, what the local nightlife is like, what the best halls of residence are – pretty much anything. Don't forget to look at the accommodation for yourself and make time to walk around the surrounding area to see if you like it.

Where is it located?

There are two main teaching campuses, a dedicated accommodation campus, and an outdoor education centre in Snowdonia, North Wales.

Hope Park is the main teaching campus, situated in Childwall, a suburb of Liverpool and can be reached by bus.

Creative Campus is the home to the creative and performing arts degrees. It is based in the city centre and is easily reached by bus. The nearest train station is Liverpool Central Station about 2 miles. There is a free shuttle bus connecting the two sites.

Liverpool, with its unique culture and spirit is one of the UK's most popular student destinations. The city's openness and inclusion create an enriching student experience and there is a huge choice of pubs, nightclubs, festivals, coffee shops, and restaurants to dive into. Most of the student bars are within walking distance of each other and there are plenty of green spaces and local beaches to explore if you want to get off campus.
