Why go to an open day?

When you attend an open day, you'll get a gut feeling about the university. Open days will help give you clarity if you're not sure what course to choose. You'll be able to visit different departments and chat with lecturers and other department staff, there are often subject talks too. You'll also get to speak to current students. They can tell you whether they're satisfied with the teaching, what the local nightlife is like, what the best halls of residence are – pretty much anything. Don't forget to look at the accommodation for yourself and make time to walk around the surrounding area to see if you like it.

Where is it located?

Swansea University has two campuses, Singleton Park Campus, and Bay Campus, both found at either end of Swansea's waterfront. You can reach both easily by public transport and by car. First Cymru's Uni Bus network links the two campuses and the city centre.

Swansea is on the South Wales coast and surrounded by beautiful beaches, parks, and hills. It is a friendly place known for its art, culture, music, sport, seafood, Italian ice-cream, and Swansea market. It has a thriving student population, so there'll be plenty to do and see and loads of new people to meet.
