AUB aims to build a collaborative, creative community that challenges students to rethink why they do the things they do.

The Gallery is another facility that highlights work by contemporary artists and designers from around the world as well as displaying final year students work. The university has a workshop and print room and dedicated areas for exposure, screen washing, and acid etching.

Why go to an open day?

When you attend an open day, you'll get a gut feeling about the university. Open days will help give you clarity if you're not sure what course to choose. You'll be able to visit different departments and chat with lecturers and other department staff, there are often subject talks too. You'll also get to speak to current students. They can tell you whether they're satisfied with the teaching, what the local nightlife is like, what the best halls of residence are – pretty much anything. Don't forget to look at the accommodation for yourself and make time to walk around the surrounding area to see if you like it.

Where is it located?

Arts University Bournemouth is in Wallisdown, between Bournemouth and Poole. You can reach it by car or by various bus services.

Most first year students live on campus and then move off to Lansdowne where a lot of student accommodation is based.

Bournemouth has a growing reputation for being one of the best places in the country to come to study. With its beaches, nightlife and green spaces, it's got lots to do without it feeling overwhelming, like a big city might. The main clubs and bars are based in Lansdowne. Nearby you've also got the Jurassic coast and the New Forest if you fancy a day out.
