Open days at University of the Arts London

The University of Arts London or UAL, as it is sometimes known, is a specialist creative industries university that offers degrees in art, design, fashion, media, computing and more. It has a long history of 100 years teaching across its institutions.  

Students benefit from a close-knit community with opportunities for creative collaboration, access to superb facilities, and input from expert practitioners.  Many courses at UAL are among the best in the world and most have strong links to influential industries where graduates may find work after finishing their course.  

Facilities  

Specialist facilities include state of the art design suites alongside traditional print studios, 3D modelling facilities, metal casting foundry and photography suites among other resources.  

UAL has six libraries including special collections featuring art, design, film, photography, comics, materials and more. Academic support librarians offer workshops and learning support to develop creative research.

You can book an open day via the links below or register your interest and the university will let you know when bookings open nearer the time. Attending an open day will help you decide whether it's the right place for you to study. You'll usually be able to attend talks, take a tour, see typical campus accommodation and talk to current students and lecturers about what life is really like so have some questions handy.  

Where is it located? 

The University of Arts has various campuses across London including the Central Saint Martin's art and design campus at King's Cross. Other campuses include Camberwell College of Arts, Chelsea College of Arts, Wimbledon College of Art and UAL Creative Computing Institute.  

Its London College of Communication is in the Elephant and Circle area of the capital and the London College of Fashion recently moved to a state-of-the-art facility in Stratford, East London. The Creative Computing Institute can be found on Peckham Road.  

London with its vibrant arts scene and cosmopolitan nature could provide much inspiration and a supportive community with lots of opportunities to network with creatives from all walks of life. With over 100 museums, major art galleries, many theatres and a multitude of festivals each year, there's always something to do.
