Why go to an open day?

When you attend an open day, you'll get a gut feeling about the university. Open days will help give you clarity if you're not sure what course to choose. You'll be able to visit different departments and chat with lecturers and other department staff, there are often subject talks too. You'll also get to speak to current students. They can tell you whether they're satisfied with the teaching, what the local nightlife is like, what the best halls of residence are – pretty much anything. Don't forget to look at the accommodation for yourself and make time to walk around the surrounding area to see if you like it.

Where is it located?

UEA has one campus, situated about 3 miles out of the city centre. It's easy to reach by bus, bike or car and there are park and ride options.

Norwich is a great city to be a student, full of creativity and culture and is just 2 hours from London. It is often voted one of the best places to live in the UK (Sunday Times) offering an array of festivals, street markets, and historical attractions. There's also great nightlife, shopping, and restaurants.

Rankings

UEA has been a strong top 30 player in our UK university league tables since 2020. It has performed particularly well on facilities spend, student to staff ratio and research quality.
