Why go to an open day?

When you attend an open day, you'll get a gut feeling about the university. Open days will help give you clarity if you're not sure what course to choose. You'll be able to visit different departments and chat with lecturers and other department staff, there are often subject talks too. You'll also get to speak to current students. They can tell you whether they're satisfied with the teaching, what the local nightlife is like, what the best halls of residence are – pretty much anything. Don't forget to look at the accommodation for yourself and make time to walk around the surrounding area to see if you like it.

Where is it located?

Lincoln has three campuses in total. Brayford Pool campus is the main site and is in the city centre on the waterfront. It's easy to reach by foot, bike or public transport. Riseholme is north of the city and has a rural countryside feel. The Holbeach campus is to be found in the south of the county. There is a campus bus service that connects all three sites.

Living in Lincoln offers lots of different things to do. It is a safe city with a mix of old and new architecture. There are several galleries, theatres and music venues and the Brayford Waterfront is a popular spot for students with a range of restaurants, bars and cafes. There are green spaces in and around the city including Boultham Park and Hartholme County Park. The city is well connected with good transport links. Nottingham is about an hour away by train and London can be reached in just over two hours.
