Open days at University of Surrey

The University of Surrey is a great place to study because of its commitment to providing an inclusive environment for all students, its pioneering spirit, and its excellent student experience and outcomes.

The university offers a variety of scholarships and awards for international students and prides itself on its global outlook. It also has a great reputation for research and has been awarded three Queen's Anniversary prizes.  

The University of Surrey offers a variety of degrees in a wide range of subjects such as engineering, nursing, politics, and more. It is particularly well known for its courses in Hospitality and Tourism and Sociology.  

Facilities  

The University of Surrey offers students a sports and fitness centre, an array of catering outlets including coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and takeaways, a shop on campus, plus a weekly food market. The library and learning centre are open 24/7 365 days of the year and includes a special collections and archives department.

Attending an open day will help you decide whether it's the right place for you to study. You'll usually be able to attend talks, take a tour, see typical campus accommodation, and talk to students and lecturers so think about any questions you might want to ask beforehand.  

Where is it located? 

The University of Surrey has two main campuses, The Stag Hill campus and The Manor Park campus. Both are in Guildford and accessible via public transport or The Stag Hill campus is about a 30-minute walk from the main train station.  

Guildford is a busy town offering good nightlife, shops, theatres and art galleries. Surrey Sports Park hosts regular live sporting events, while the wider Surrey area offers polo, horse, bike and car racing, as well as football, tennis and other sports. 

Guildford was recently revealed to be one of the safest places for students to live according to our data.  

Rankings
