Clearing & Adjustment
Why study here?
The University of Plymouth was awarded Silver in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Award (TEF 2018).
Top tips for clearing
Be prepared. Do your research and talk with your school or college careers advisors about the different courses that can still help you along the same career path.
Don’t panic! Keep calm and take your time before you make any decisions. There is time for you to phone universities and consider your options on results day.
Consider your options. Think about courses which are similar to the one you originally applied for, the option of studying a four-year degree with foundation entry, or applying for a joint honours.
Prioritise. Decide what the most important thing is for you. This could be the location, the course, or the university itself.
Keep an open mind. You may eventually settle for a course that is completely different to the one you originally applied for but it may work out much better than you expect.
Once you’ve accepted a place, the university will do everything they can to help you find accommodation.
Plymouth’s Student Accommodation team will be on hand to answer any questions you have on results day.
Find out more details on the university’s dedicated accommodation page.
