- The Strathclyde MBA offers an integrated approach to management with classes including: finance and financial management, operations management, analytical support for decision making, comparative corporate governance, strategy analysis and evaluation, and more. The MBA gives students a broad understanding of management issues at a senior level along with appropriate skills and techniques. It draws on a number of specialist areas, and offers a degree of specialisation if required through elective study.
- It is a highly experiential programme based on collaborative learning, with students from around the world sharing their work experiences, knowledge, understanding and skills.
- Participants will be able to choose two elective classes from approximately 20 classes offered covering a wide range of subjects. All MBA students are able to take advantage of the annual MBA Electives Summer School in Glasgow; for those unable to attend the summer school, elective classes are also offered on a part-time basis and at the Business School's international centres.
- The capstone MBA project gives students the opportunity to examine in depth a managerial, organisational or environmental issue of their choice over an extended period of time.

Part-Time MBA

- Strathclyde’s part-time MBA (evening study in Glasgow) is ideally suited to working managers who want to gain a valued and well-established management qualification in a way best suited to their professional and personal circumstances.
- A major strength of the part-time route lies in the immediacy of the relationship between managerial practice and the course. Members of the part-time route bring to their classes and groups the issues they deal with on a day-to-day basis and in-depth knowledge of current practice in their industry.

Flexible Learning MBA

- Strathclyde’s flexible learning MBA offers a balance between providing a structured programme whilst allowing individual choice in the pace of study; and a balance between self-study and group interaction, combining supported self-study with attendance at face-to-face intensive seminars.

Strathclyde MBAs have been available outside the UK since 1988. Students study in their own country with a flexible learning delivery developed with a local partner incorporating elements of part-time, full-time and distance learning methods of study. Most participants complete their studies in two years.
- The Strathclyde Executive MBA – International corresponds to the UK programme, and is assessed on exactly the same basis. It can be studied through international partnerships in a number of countries.
- Academics who deliver the core elements of the programme overseas also deliver the MBA in Glasgow.
