Full-Time MBA

Accreditations: AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS

Programme Features

  • The Strathclyde MBA is highly experiential and based on collaborative learning – students from around the world share their varied work experiences, knowledge, understanding and skills. The MBA will shape and guide students as a reflective, open-thinking, adaptive learner. This is facilitated through enhanced understanding of the interplay of theory and practice in management.
  • The MBA gives students a broad understanding of management issues at a senior level along with appropriate skills and techniques. It draws on a number of specialist areas, and offers a degree of specialisation if required, but the intent is not to train specialists but rather develop the students in diverse areas of management. While many traditional MBA programmes consist of a set of unlinked single discipline classes, this course recognises that the job of a senior manager involves making decisions across a wide range of functions.
  • The Strathclyde MBA offers an integrated approach to management with classes including: finance and financial management, operations management, analytical support for decision making, comparative corporate governance, strategy analysis and evaluation and more.
  • Participants will also be able to choose two elective classes – there are usually over 20 classes on offer from a wide range of subject specialists. Any MBA student, regardless of route, is able to take advantage of the annual MBA Electives Summer School in Glasgow each May and June; for those unable to attend the summer school, elective classes are also offered on a part-time basis and at our international centres.
  • The capstone element is the MBA project, giving students the opportunity to examine in depth a managerial, organisational or environmental issue of their choice over an extended period of time.

Course Duration

  • 12 months full-time.

Part-Time MBA

Accreditations: AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS

Programme Features

  • The Strathclyde MBA is an internationally-recognised management qualification aimed at talented, ambitious and well-qualified people with solid business experience. Strathclyde’s part-time MBA (evening study in Glasgow) is ideally suited to working managers who want to gain a valued and well-established management qualification in a way best suited to their professional and personal circumstances.
  • A major strength of the part-time route lies in the immediacy of the relationship between managerial practice and the course. Members of the part-time route bring to their classes and groups the issues they deal with on a day-to-day basis and in-depth knowledge of current practice in their industry.
