Dafydd found the perfect course through Clearing. Bangor made the process easy and he was impressed with the uni's facilities and teaching.

Coming to Bangor through UCAS Clearing

A couple of weeks before results day, I was unsure about my first choice on UCAS. Therefore I started to look at other universities – and that's how I ended up at Bangor through Clearing.

Did you attend a Clearing open day – and how was it finding accommodation?

After results day, I came up to Bangor for an open day. While looking around the accommodation, I was quite impressed. And the fact that the accommodation is guaranteed – this took the stress away from the Clearing process.

Impressive facilities

Whilst looking around the university, I was quite impressed with the laboratories and the research vessel at Menai Bridge. I was also impressed with Pontio (the arts centre) and the 24-hour study spaces, the cafe, and the cinema, all under one roof.

High level of teaching

Finding a high level of teaching is important for me, and I found this at Bangor. 

Favourite things about Bangor

So, my favourite things about Bangor is being in the outdoors, especially being this close to the mountains of Eryri and the beaches of Ynys Môn. I also love spending time with my friends and the club and society opportunities here have been amazing.

UCAS Clearing top tip

In my opinion, the best thing you can do during Clearing is come to Bangor: see the university, see the town, and get a feel for the place.

Going through the Clearing system was very easy.
