Making the final choice

Clearing success story: Cardiff Met

Read about Rosie's experience of getting a place through Clearing to study a Graphic Communication BA (Hons) at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Rosie used Clearing to get a place at Cardiff Metropolitan University

What degree did you originally apply for and where?

I originally got a place at Reading University to study Graphic Communication.

Why did you use Clearing?

Something felt wrong about my first choice at Reading – I didn’t feel eager to go. It wasn’t until August 2019, when I made a short trip to Cardiff, that I fell in love with the city. I was over the moon to find out Cardiff Met did the same course I was planning to study!

Why did you choose Graphic Communication at Cardiff Met?

The process of Clearing was super easy and stress-free. I spoke with the Head of Department, who explained the course and made me feel very welcome, and I knew that I would feel at home at Cardiff Met. Clearing gave me the opportunity to have a change of heart and helped me make the right choice for myself.

How was your university experience?

This last-minute change of heart has done amazing things for me. I'm now in a fabulous city, with loads of opportunities. I've made some great friends within the Cardiff Met community, and the course is perfect for me.
