Clearing success story: Bolton
Read about Beth's experience of getting a place through Clearing to study a Sport Rehabilitation BSc (Hons) at the University of Bolton.

Why did you use Clearing?
On A Level results morning I sat and cried, I unfortunately didn't get the results I wanted or needed for my chosen university/course.
Why did you choose Sport Rehabilitation at Bolton?
I rang the University of Bolton to see if they could help and I went from a crying mess to massive smiles. I was going to university! The team at UoB took their time talking to me about my options and choices to make sure I was doing what was best for me. They filled me with confidence and even arranged for me to have an individual tour around the campus and accommodation, so I felt confident going in September.

Did you find accommodation easily?
Yes, I lived in the halls of residence. Living in Bolton is great, everything you need is in walking distance in a small, friendly town. There's a good nightlife but it’s not overpowering and it’s only a short trip into Manchester on the train if you wish! I lived in student accommodation throughout my time at the University of Bolton, where I made lifelong friendships and joined the netball team.
How was your university experience?
Coming to the University of Bolton to study was the best thing that happened to me. I received fantastic academic and personal support.
My lecturers provided great knowledge and insight into my chosen degree and provided a range of different learning techniques such as lectures, seminars, practical workshops and real-life experiences. They were also very approachable, understanding and supportive during the times I went to them having personal and confidence problems.
I made friends for life, had great help and support from staff and learned the building blocks for my career as a sport rehabilitator within professional sport. Now employed full time!
