What degree had you originally applied for and where?

I initially applied for Forensic Science and Biology at Keele University.

What is your degree, and where are you studying?

I am now studying Forensic Psychology at the University of Gloucestershire.

Why did you enter Clearing?

I decided to go through with Clearing because the university did not offer me the subject I wanted because of my biology grades at A Level.

What factors made you finally settle on the course you chose?

I had a long time to think. I considered what I enjoyed doing (helping people, making a difference) and what my other grades were (good psychology grades).

I had visited the University of Gloucestershire before with my college and remembered being interested in their Forensic Psychology course. I applied through Clearing there because it was so close to home; also, the campus had a magical feel about it. On top of that, the university had great employment opportunities.

Have you enjoyed your course and time at uni?

I am at the end of my second year now, and although it has been tough and busy, I have loved every aspect of it. All the modules are so interesting and teach me a lot about the things I love and want a career in. Through a variety of modules, I have been able to do work experience at the NHS and help others.

I have been also working part-time with the university as a student ambassador and eventually became a senior student ambassador, which opened the door to many opportunities. Working with outreach, marketing, UCAS and in general helping aspiring students go into education and make them feel better about such a big step in their lives.
