Why study here?

Sussex has always challenged convention, spoken out about the things that matter and stood up for what it believes in.

It will support you to broaden your horizons and gain the skills and experience to take your future in any direction you choose.

Sussex is a place to push yourself, embrace change and even raise a few eyebrows. In the welcoming campus community, Sussex invites you to find your home-from-home.

Top tips for Clearing

  1. Sussex has Clearing vacancies on almost every course, so check the website to make sure you find the right course for you.
  2. Sussex recommend you sign-up to receive Clearing updates from the university. It won’t spam you and you will be the first to hear when it publishes Clearing entry requirements. This is usually by the end of the day on the Tuesday before A Level Results Day.
  3. If you think Sussex has the course that’s right for you, and you’ve got the entry requirements needed, call the Clearing Hotline as soon as possible.

Please be patient if holding on the phone – the lines are often busy so you may find yourself in a queue, but please hold and a member of the admissions team will speak to you as soon as possible.

The campus sits within the beautiful South Downs National Park with a choice of housing options on site. Many Sussex students choose to live in the buzzy seaside town of Brighton – just nine minutes away by train. Here, a range of university managed and private rental options are available.

There are 250 guaranteed university-managed housing vacancies for Clearing that will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

The housing team anticipates that even more vacancies than this will be available. In the event Sussex are unable to allocate university-managed accommodation, the Housing Team will be on hand to provide advice and support to help you to secure accommodation in Brighton’s extensive private rental accommodation sector.
