City's commitment to the career prospects of its students is a key characteristic. Degrees and facilities have been developed with employers and leading figures in industry. Nearly all courses offer placements.
Specialist careers service
Students can discuss plans at personal career appointments and group workshops, get advice on preparing a CV, job application form or LinkedIn profile, or attend a mock interview.
Regular careers events
Strong links with major employers, who give regular presentations, attend career fairs and run student skills sessions. The Careers Service hosts panel events for students to explore industries and network.
Help finding opportunities
Via the online CareersHub, students can find internship and graduate opportunities. All City students and graduates are registered, along with over 5,000 employers such as the BBC, Bloomberg, Deloitte, HSBC and PwC.
Mentoring from a professional
City's award-winning professional mentoring scheme matches students with experienced professionals with a view to developing their skills, confidence and future employability.
