Dyson's MEng Engineering (International) employer-sponsored degree programme is one of a kind. It blends in-depth academic teaching with practical experience on the latest Dyson technology and a year-long international placement. In the first two years you’ll study a rigorous and challenging general engineering syllabus, giving you a strong technical foundation. During year three you’ll embark on a 12-month placement in Dyson’s Asia offices. In year four, you’ll return to the UK and choose elective modules, tailoring your study to your interests. You’ll also complete your Final Year Project, developing advanced skills in research, analysis, and problem solving.
After graduation, if you meet the conditions for continued employment, you'll transition to the next step in your Dyson career. There will be a range of global opportunities available, designed to develop future technical, project, people, or functional leaders. You'll be supported in exploring the available roles, based on your personal and professional interests and motivations. Your pathway will help you lead the way in advancing Dyson’s next generation of innovative technology and products worldwide. You'll graduate with the job title Engineer; you skip the Graduate Engineer title due to the extensive and varied work experience you'll have.
At the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology, first-year undergraduates live on campus in the Dyson Village. You'll stay in your own modular pod with sleeping and study areas plus en-suite, and have access to communal kitchen, laundry and social areas. From your second year, you'll find your own accommodation, with support provided.
