The university has recently expanded its dairy and pig units, and created a food research centre and on-farm teaching hub. Livestock include dairy cows and followers, sows, hens, two sheep flocks and a beef unit.
Health and fitness facilities
The well-equipped gym is open seven days a week. The campus has two multi-use games areas, set up for tennis, five-a-side and basketball. There is also a dance and fitness studio for classes including yoga, boxercise and Tae Kwon Do.
Eating and drinking on campus
The campus offers a great range of eateries, from cosy cafés to student restaurants with an extensive and imaginative menu. These provide great value and use a selection of ingredients grown by the university or sourced locally.
