Leeds is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, with a safe and friendly feel. The uni’s higher education students are based at Blenheim Walk campus, a short walk from the city centre. Leeds has a compact centre, with most amenities within walking distance.

• The city has a thriving arts scene. Major galleries such as the Henry Moore Institute and Leeds Arts Gallery exist alongside numerous independent creative spaces.
• A major centre for performance, Leeds hosts three major theatres, music venues from the First Direct Arena to small independent venues, comedy clubs, and a music festival.
• Kirkgate Market, one of the largest indoor markets in Europe, is the place for bargain hunters. It sells everything from fresh food to plants, hardware and haberdashery.
• Leeds has a thriving independent food scene, including street food outlets at Kirkgate Market, and an abundance of independent cafes, restaurants and bars across the city.
• The city has several parks and green spaces, including the beautiful Hyde Park, which is just a 10-minute walk from the university.

• The Union organises activities, campaigns and events year-round. It also publishes student work in its creative magazine, NEST.
• From anime to zines, students come together to join societies on a range of themes – or form their own.
• Students can be elected as student executive officers or student reps, ensuring the student voice is central to the SU.

• Student accommodation is a 15–20 minute walk from the Blenheim Walk building.
• Leeds city centre is a 15-minute walk from both accommodation buildings and Blenheim Walk, or 5 minutes on local bus routes.
• Leeds train station is a 15-minute walk from the campus. London is 2.5 hours by train and the coast is just over an hour away.
• Leeds Bradford Airport is the nearest airport, accessible by bus from Leeds city centre.

• Students can apply to be student ambassadors, with paid work at open days, UCAS fairs and supporting schools liaison.
