Careers Zones offer students a range of support, including one-to-one careers guidance, interview practice sessions, reviews of application forms, personal statements and CVs, and help looking for work experience.
Future Focus programme
The Future Focus e-learning resource and workshop focuses on self-discovery and awareness of the career possibilities open to you. First-year students can engage with the programme as part of a core module of study.
Career resources include school-specific career planning guides, course-level career insights and infographics. Mini guides cover career planning topics such as CVs, application writing and interview skills.
Careers Zone 24/7
Careers Zone 24/7 is an online e-learning platform offering interactive tools, self-directed career assessments, entrepreneurship modules and a job board featuring paid LJMU internships and other opportunities.
Webinars, employer events and fairs
LJMU runs regular webinars on the graduate recruitment process. Organisations promote opportunities via Careers Zones. At large recruitment fairs, students can meet with employers to secure graduate-level roles.
