Campus-based careers zones offer a range of careers support for students, including one-to-one guidance, interview practice sessions, reviews of application forms, personal statements and CVs.
CareerSmart helps students focus on career planning. All first-year students can engage with the programme as part of a core module of study. These digital resources assist students with the recruitment process.
Career resources include school-specific career planning guides, course-level career insights and infographics. Mini guides cover topics such as career planning, CVs, applications, interviews and more.
Careers Zone 24/7
Online, Careers Zone 24/7 has e-learning courses, career assessments, employer videos and podcasts, industry reports, entrepreneurship modules and a job board featuring paid LJMU internships and other opportunities.
Employer events and fairs
Organisations visit careers zones to promote opportunities including options to travel and work abroad. At large-scale careers fairs, students can meet and network with employers and secure graduate-level roles.
