• Campus visits and advice provided by local health agencies throughout the year.
• Students' health in their work is overseen by the Occupational Health Unit.

Counselling and mental health support

• A counselling and mental health service provides free, confidential sessions.
• Student engagement officers can also help with issues affecting a student's studies.
• All contact can be made through email, telephone or by face-to-face drop-in sessions.

• LJMU awards a bursary of £500 per year to undergraduate students from families with household incomes of £25,000 or under, who are paying full tuition fees for their course.
• Scholarships are also awarded to over 200 LJMU students. All scholarships have a selection process and students must complete an application form to be considered.
• In 2020, awards include the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship, Sir Bert Massey Scholarship and Academic Excellence Scholarship. Other scholarships include the Community Excellence Scholarship and the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral music scholarship.
