Newman holds a welcome week at the start of the academic year to welcome new students onto campus. Students take part in various workshops and get to meet their lecturers. HEADstart is a free course to help students prepare for university life.
Academic support advisers (ASA)
The ASAs help students to resolve any academic or pastoral concerns, and provide support if personal circumstances impact on studies. They ensure students make the most of their time at Newman.
The chaplaincy at Newman encourages students to grow intellectually, personally and spiritually. It celebrates the diverse cultures, faiths and traditions of Newman's students, organising a range of events, activities and experiences.
