Students who choose to live on campus benefit from conveniently located student accommodation. The modern flats have en-suite bathrooms and shared kitchen and living spaces. Standard and premium rooms are on offer, as well as accessible accommodation for disabled students – all with free Wi-Fi. The university's ResLife initiative organises social activities on campus and trips to interesting places, helping students to meet, socialise and make connections with one another. 24-hour security provides students with added safety. QMU's modern and friendly student residences offer a pleasant, sociable and convenient place to live during students' university journey.

Queen Margaret University is on the east side of Edinburgh, next to the bustling seaside town of Musselburgh. Musselburgh train station is next to the university, and it takes just 6 minutes on the train to reach Edinburgh city centre. Excellent transport links include a regular bus service from campus to the local retail park, Musselburgh, and the city centre. Running right beside the campus, the A1 provides quick access to the north of Edinburgh and to the west of the country, or south to the Scottish Borders and England. QMU's excellent location means that students can easily access the amenities of Scotland's capital, as well as the stunning East Lothian coast and countryside.
