The library houses over 87,000 books and items of printed music, and more than 20,000 sound recordings.

Performance facilities

The RNCM Concert Hall and Theatre are two of the largest performance and recording spaces in Manchester. The Concert Hall has advanced technical facilities and lighting, following a major refit. The Carole Nash Recital Room has an on-site recording studio.

Specialist course facilities

These include more than 120 pianos (over half are grand pianos) plus over 70 tutorial spaces and individual practice rooms. Seven large studio spaces include the world’s largest BOXY modular studio system at the time of its installation in 2016.
