Frequently asked questions

Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) offers specialist degrees in rural subjects at its seven campuses across Scotland. Subjects range from agriculture to animal welfare, horticulture to forestry. All students get plenty of support from dedicated and experienced tutors to help them reach their potential.

If you are keen to stay in education, an undergraduate degree means you can go on to a master's degree or a PhD to become an expert in your field of interest. Studies have shown that graduates have a higher average salary compared to non-graduates.

SRUC Scotland's Rural College offers accommodation at some campuses – namely those in Aberdeen, Dumfries and West Lothian. Details may be found on SRUC's website. Students at other campuses must find their own housing, which in Edinburgh or Glasgow could include private halls of residence.
