Nightlife and culture
- A year-round programme of local, national and international festivals gives students the opportunity to experience the culture, humour and hospitality of Northern Ireland.
- Belfast has a rich maritime heritage, with the Titanic Belfast experience. In Derry~Londonderry the Seamus Heaney HomePlace celebrates the life of NI's literary great.
- The Giant's Causeway and the Dark Hedges (from the Games of Thrones TV series) are near the Coleraine Campus plus the beautiful Portstewart strand is only 4 miles away.
- Major golf courses and tournaments include the British and Irish Open, Duke of York Young Champions Trophy, the Belfast Parkland International and Down Summer Trophy.
- Northern Ireland prides itself on its beautiful landscapes. All four campuses of Ulster University are no more than a short drive to an unspoilt, quiet, blue flag beach.

- Ulster guarantees any first-year student who applies by 7th July a room within university accommodation.
- International students are guaranteed accommodation if applying up to 14th August for university accommodation.

- The Students' Union represents all students. It ensures the student voice is heard on teaching and facilities matters.

- There are numerous clubs and societies for students to join, which help students meet new people, have fun and try something new.

Getting around
- Northern Ireland has three airports: George Best Belfast City Airport, Belfast International Airport and City of Derry Airport.
- Northern Ireland has ferry connections with Scotland, England and the Isle of Man from ports at Larne and Belfast Harbour.
- Ulster University has a staff and student cycling club. Many people regularly travel to campus by bicycle.
- Belfast is 1.5 hours north of Dublin Airport, with an inexpensive bus connection running hourly between the two cities.
- Most university residences are located on campus, making them safe, secure and readily accessible.
