The University College of Osteopathy is the largest osteopathic educational institution in the UK, and the only one in Europe with the power to award its own degrees. Evidence-informed teaching is supported by an active research department, and students gain a minimum of 1,000 clinical hours through the UCO clinic. UCO graduates have gone on to hold leadership positions within the profession as well as working with the GB Olympic team and in private practice.
Given its unique collegiate structure with thirteen academic partners, it would be inappropriate for the University of the Highlands and Islands to appear in the main league table. The university does appear in the relevant subject tables.
