The university offers focused support to students who might be facing additional challenges at university, such as care leavers, estranged students and LGBTQ+ students.
Faith and spirituality
The university's faith and spirituality network offers pastoral support to students of all faiths and of no faith. The network aims to have representatives from as many faiths as possible. Their services are open to all.
Social and informal learning spaces
The university has developed a number of SILS across the campuses. These spaces encourage meeting, socialising and learning, featuring soft seating and varied work spaces. Students can work together on group projects or relax with a coffee.
At the time of the survey the Cockcroft gym is closed. Falmer and Eastbourne sports centres are open with restricted capacity. Student clubs and recreational sports are operating, following Covid guidelines.
Activities are bookable, to manage capacity. Adjustments in programming have been made to meet demand. Gym opening times have been extended. All activities are following Covid guidelines.
