Counselling and mental health support

• The university provides a year-round counselling service for all students.
• Qualified counsellors can offer free help with personal and psychological problems.
• Students can contact the university to arrange a counselling consultation themselves.
• Groups and workshops available to provide a group support experience.
• The six-week Everyday Mindfulness programme is open to students.

The University of Nottingham provides a comprehensive package of bursaries to support UK students from lower-income families.

• Core Bursary (2020–21): up to £1,000 for each year of undergraduate study for eligible students.
• Nottingham Potential Bursary: an additional £1,000 a year for students who meet at least one of a selection of criteria.
• A number of academic schools and departments also offer scholarships to students. The availability of these and criteria for application varies from school to school.
